Hey there @Jso1961.. I'm paying off one at 75% now.  And I'm not expecting a new offer any time soon.  For at least the past two years, new offers have been coming much later than they used to.  These days, I'm hearing from LOTS of sellers here that a) offers aren't coming until the high 80% at the earliest, with many not receiving offers until the previous loan is completely paid off, and b) many are experiencing lower offers than they have received before.

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me too much given the absolute shambles of an economy we are experiencing, with no real reasons to expect that it will get better any time over the next few years.  The lending market doesn't react well to uncertainty like we are experiencing, and it is not just Square's loan arm that is being conservative and cautious.

Keep in mind that I'm NOT saying that you definitely won't get an offer soon.  I'm just saying that the overwhelming experiences I'm reading about here on a daily basis say that you should probably not have high expectations.  And you definitely shouldn't be anxious, unless your business depends on loans to survive, which is a different story.  Another offer will come if your card volume is growing and your other business milestones are where they should be.  But I believe (and many other sellers here believe) that the days of new offers at 60-70% are in our rearview mirror.

Hi @KEC413

Thanks for posting on the Square Community.

Loan eligibility and offers are based on a variety of factors including payment processing volume, account history, and payment frequency. We routinely review eligibility of our sellers for Square Loans.

If you donโ€™t see an offer in your Square Dashboard and havenโ€™t received an email noting youโ€™re eligible, you are not eligible at this time. If your business becomes eligible at a later time, you will see loan offers in your Square Dashboard.

Please contact us directly, our Square Loans line is open between 8am-5pm PT Monday-Friday if you want to give us a call.

Have you seen any movement at all across the boards? I know youโ€™re good about following along. Iโ€™m currently at 66% (4x over my minimum due) and was hoping that because of how quickly Iโ€™ve been paying it back theyโ€™d recognize that and offer a more appropriate offer sooner rather than later.

Itโ€™s been here and there. I have seen from 40% to 3 mths paid off. Itโ€™s all over the place. The last 3 summers have been trending the same though and late Aug-Through September just booming. Hopefully, the same. Good luck and Iโ€™m watching everyday!

Got my 3rd loan offer today at 46% still waiting on approval. Had been working hard to get up to 50% &  was very surprised to have gotten one at 46. Last offer came at 86%. Hopefully I get approved. Best of luck to everyone!

Something has definitely changed recently with Square Loans. I recently paid off a $27k loan in August, and as recently as August 27th Square was offering me up to $90k. We're in a position where we don't need the cash so we didn't take a new loan, but today our offer was changed to a "Cash Flow Boost" offer for up to $10k and 120 day repayment terms. That makes even less sense for my business, so I think I'm done with financing through Square.

Oh wow that is new to me, โ€œcash flow boostโ€! @Twpchair have you heard of this?

Iโ€™ve been seeing this come up more recently too! The โ€œCash Flow Boostโ€ appears to be a shorter-term funding option that Square has been offering some sellers, and itโ€™s definitely different from the traditional Square Loans many of us are used to.

From what Iโ€™ve seen shared here in the Community, some longtime Square Loan users who previously received much larger offers have suddenly been presented with smaller 120-day offers instead. So youโ€™re definitely not the only one seeing this change.

I personally would look VERY carefully at the repayment percentage and 120-day requirement before accepting one, especially if youโ€™re accustomed to the flexibility of a traditional Square Loan where payments fluctuate with sales.

The interesting part is that declining/not accepting the smaller offer doesnโ€™t necessarily mean thatโ€™s all youโ€™ll ever qualify for. Square continues evaluating accounts, so another or larger offer could potentially appear later.

Iโ€™d love to hear from Square on whether Cash Flow Boost is being rolled out more broadly or if certain sellers are simply being offered this option based on their individual accounts

I am 79% in on a 200k loan 4th loan so far all paid in half the time expected. This recent one will be finished paid in undeer 1 year and i have not gotten a offer yet. I  usually get a offer around the 70% range, something must have changed.. Has any one heard of a change?

We usually get an offer around 70% as well. We are at 78% and are waiting very patiently for a new offer. I hate this waiting game so much. I wish they would make some changes and would be more transparent. It's hard to plan.

Absolutely, just a little more transparency. Perhaps steps to take to improve the next offer even if its on a account by account basis. I actually plan spiffs on these loans for the business. Which helps a lot around the upcoming season.

74% and still no new offer. Everything looks green but nothing. I usually get offers at 67- 72 % it's taking soooo long this time. I'm beginning to believe they are no longer going to offer me anything anymore. And I could really use another little boost. I'm on my 8th loan ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

Im not sure what's going on with the algorithm. I got an offer on Saturday while I was at 36%, It was for 40k. My business did increase significantly over the last few months. Where my minimum payment was a little over 1k every 60 days, I had paid 8k in 4 months. Maybe that is why, I'm not sure.

Do you mind saying how much you had left to pay on that loan at 36% paid? I just wonder if it was a lower amount left. I hope to get a loan soon to help out with our inventory crisis, but we are only at 55% paid off.

Thank you for your transparency. We still owe 11,000, Iโ€™m praying we can get a good opportunity like that.
