Loan Denial due to related account

I received the message below explaining why my loan was denied (especially surprising since I just paid off a previous one a few days ago that was given to me in March)

Should I be concerned that someone might be using my SSN to process payments? I was planning on being offered and accepting future loans, and with this unexpected issue, I’m worried my chances—along with my approval for the credit card I’ve been waitlisted for—may be very slim.

“Using internal data and other identifiers, we have determined that your business is related to another account with a Square Loan whose card processing has declined.
