Yet again a follow-up post to share very disheartening information I just stumbled on,

A seller posed a question about using the Square Installments for his HVOC business. 

This to me this so disturbing that they are telling sellers that the service through their Celtic Bank partner is available.....click the link and you get the whats really going on. They are not offering the installment program because of Covid 19. 

Celtic Bank is their lending partner for the Capital Loan program too.  What's one to think? Please share........

I signed up for installments and I was about to go crazy advertising it..then I got the notice that it was being shutdown

it looked to be promising, but it turned into another door shutdown in my face by Square

Hey @ecantiques5 thanks so much for surfacing this and I apologize for the confusion this may have caused. We recently made some changes in Square to pause Square Installments for the time being, as you have seen in this Square Installments Article.

 

It is still something we are planning on offering in the future, but I can understand how frustrating that would feel to expect to have it and to not receive it.

Well it was fun while it lasted. After 6-7 square capital loans and 4+ years I’m finally switching from square. Hate that I had to stop using. You guys but your true colors have been shown over this pandemic issue. Fortunately I’ve grown my business enough to the point were I don’t need capital from you all anymore and having been paid off now I see more money in my account with no fees to pay back. It was a good ride. Thanks for the times you were there. 🤷🏾‍♂️ but thanks for not being there when it mattered most too lol✌🏾

Very interesting... Glad i stumbled on this thread. I too have had 7 paid off loans, all early and/or they usually were trying to get me go larger before I finished the previous one. I am at 89% on the current one. This month is my biggest processing month and every month this year is bigger than the previous. In my 6 year years I've never even had a charge back and less that a hand full of refunds. Over half my business is returning customers.

 

I too am an essential business and the majority of my clients are doctors and therefore we haven't felt anything by COVID-19.

 

At least knowing it's not just not me is a little better. I had been wondering if all the relief they are giving those who can't pay was going to affect us that were. It seems we all have our answer. I mean it's pretty easy to see if you're Square those that are processing every day and you would think you would want to keep us happy.

 

Not sure where this will all go. I just requested Letters of Completion for all my loans so I can shop processing elsewhere.

You must look out for your business and do what is best for you. Square was down for close to 5 or 6 hours yesterday, no ability to call phone support as they seem to turn off or stop phone support when call volume gets high. You could not invoice customers, sales were not reflecting on your dashboard. No ability to even log into your dashboard. I felt terrible for all the business trying to get  open and then not be able to have processing ability.

Then the capital loan ending without warning or consideration of a sellers ability to keep processing.... these issues really seem to solidify the obvious Square is just not as invested in our business to business relationships.

For instance yesterday....instead of emailing to alert of their service interruption...sellers were scrambling restarting phones, terminals etc. Had to search through twitter for information. They could have posted something on their Facebook page. Square  just leaves sellers questioning their commitment to communication and over all business to business partnership.
