There are many, many different ways to manage this process. We tried to do a direct import into QBO, looked at a couple services that claimed to make it easier, and in the end, we decided to stick with manual entry from Square reports. Each month we run reports, enter the data into QBO and reconcile. We transfer all money out of Square into operating accounts and run the business from there. We have considered keeping an account inside Square to start using Square Payroll services but so far the process looks overly complicated compared to the current process using QBO.
