I have recently opened a Square Checking. The business I'm in deals in cash quite a bit. How do you all handle getting cash into your Square Checking?
@SPearson I assume that you have a business checking account (not Square) linked to your Square account already? If so….
The easiest way is to deposit that cash to your business checking account. Then go here https://squareup.com/dashboard/balances. Clock on your location’s available balance box followed by clicking the Add Money button. To do this you have to have a linked debit card on that business checking account, and the transfer limit per day is $2,000 I believe.
This is one reason I haven’t moved completely to Square for my operating account. I, too, am in a cash intensive business and need to not only deposit that, but also to have access to change orders. That’s not possible with electronic banks. I’m hoping that Square is working on a relationship with a national bank that we could all use for this purpose and just switch to Square for the rest. I’m sure that is much more complicated than it sounds, though. It is banking, after all!
Maybe someone else has a better idea. That’s the best one I can come up with!
