I’ve made a check deposit over a week ago and it’s still being held. Every person I talk to gives me a different clearing date. I’ve never talked to a more unsympathetic, uncaring group of people in control of my money. I was told it wasn’t even submitted for processing for four days because it was deposited after hours. It was deposited at 8:21am on a Friday. You guys don’t even know what you’re talking about. In the meantime I can’t pay my bills, I’m having late fees from everywhere and square couldn’t care less. I’ve deposited over 50 checked from this contractor and never had a problem. I’ve deposited ANOTHER check since this one and it’s already cleared. I’ve confirmed with the contractor that the funds were withdrawn from their account over a week ago. This is beyond absurd, it’s hurting my business, hurting me personally, causing a huge amount of stress, and has made me unable to pay for anything. I just wait and wait. I’m getting nothing but canned answers and no resolution. I have completely lost trust in square. What can I do? I can’t even cancel this and take my business elsewhere. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves.
Oh here’s some more info- another person said my check was being held due to overdrafts. I’ve never, not one single time overdrafted this account or deposited a check that didn’t clear. Not once. You guys are liars. It’s a different excuse and clearing date each time I message them. Now they’ve removed the option for me to message them. I’m definitely going to be re-evaluating my banking and card processing needs. They don’t care about small business at all.
I was told to email support. I emailed support who told me to use the live chat. I finally got somebody on the live chat and they told me that I can’t talk to anybody today and I have to wait until Monday.
