I need to deposit a couple checks but I don't want to go through hassle of trying to deposit and not being able ro due to ?
Hi Steveno81709,
Are we assuming you don't have a business bank account ?
If "yes", there are some thoughts on Best Practices: Most banks prohibit depositing checks made out to a business name into a personal account. Doing so may raise suspicions that you're trying to use company funds to cover your personal expenses, or it could spark an IRS audit. Use business checks for business accounts and use personal checks for personal accounts.
If "no", then maybe expanding on your question will help others here understand better what you're trying to do.
Note: You can get lots of practical business advice using Square however, for any legal and/or accounting issues, consulting a professional is your best option.

I havent opened a local one yet. Being a new company I am doing my best to avoid monthly fees when possible. Most banks want monthly fees for buisness accounts. There is however a credit union that offers free accounts to small businesses. I tried online. But it never goes through. I have very little time in the day. So I haven't had a chance to get into the bank yet. I have been using the square accounts for business. It even has the same company name written on the check. The only info on square help I could find says. It has to have full legal name on check not specified by company legal name or personal legal name. Now if I went and attempted to put this check in my personal account then yes it would look bad. However that's not what I am trying to do.
