Be able to connect square checking to quickbooks

As a simple and utter annoying way to do financials. Having to manually import transactions from the square checking account to quickbooks is absolutely archaic as this should be as simple as any other checking account.

You can automatically import all of my square customers transactions and my transfers, but you cant import my spending and payments.

I saw that this was just a "request" A YEAR AGO and still hasnt been fixed.

I was pretty surprised that this wasn't already a capability of Square Checking when I set it up...

@solunatacos @vinesandrushes I am able to add my Square Checking and Savings accounts to Zoho books.  I didn’t look for a Sutton Bank account, because both Square and Sutton specify this is a separate product managed entirely by Square, not Sutton.  When I looked up Square and signed in via Zoho Connect, both accounts were available to connect to.  This tells me this is a Quickbooks issue, not a Square issue.  If you haven’t already, file a feature request through Quickbooks since they seem to be the weak link here.

FYI, Zoho uses Plaid for bank feeds.  I don’t know what Quickbooks uses, but whatever they use seems to be the problem.

Good luck. Definitely try using “Square” at the bank search. Like I said, that worked for me. I was able to use my main Square account credentials.

Are we able to connect Square Checking (Debit) account to QuickBooks? We have many transactions that get deposited into Square debit, which would be very useful.

**UPDATE 7/24/23** After digging further, I retract my comment above re: connecting Zoho to Square Banking accounts.  While Plaid will connect and retrieve current balance, it does not seem to retrieve transactions.  So, it seems that, indeed, there is no way to get automatic feeds from Square Banking currently.

Adding my support to this feature request, not just for Quickbooks but also for ALL accounting software that uses Plaid for bank transaction feeds.

Thanks for digging into it further, Chip.  I haven't even gotten around to try and connect it yet.

Adding additional support to this! This seems insane that this is not a feature. Definitely going to have to open new bank accounts now...
