Market trader locations v's pricing model

Hi, we have used Square for several years now and our experience has always been positive, however we want to use more of the paid features but this isn't feasible due to the cost/subscription model being based on number of Locations.

We trade at multiple artisan market locations across the UK (some every month, some special one-off events). For the regular monthly location we use seperate Locations on the POS to track sales against a specific market location. This means that we have lots of Locations (20+), but only trade in a given location once a month.

Now running 2 or 3 locations per weekend means we want to use Teams Plus to better track 3 people, but the pricing model is completly prohibative given that for most Locations we only trade one day per month and the pricing model is a subscription PER location.

Square - there must be a need for other Market Traders and similar that trade at many different locations, but only one day per month. Can you consider an alternative pricing plan that allows a single paid instance of Teams or Appointments to work across multiple locations for say 5-10 max staff? (My point also stands for Loans; not that we need one right now, but the assessment is based on takings of 1 day per month, rather than a reaosnably healthy overall sales picture across multiple locations!). I think you are missing a trick on small businesses that would want to use and pay for add-on services.

Update 19/09 - I've just looked at Loyalty, and we're completly priced out of that too @ £25/location.

I'm starting to wonder if I am not using Location correctly??

We have a similar situation - we sell at events and need to track sales for the organization to pay them a commission. We run the sales report and filter by device to track the sales at a particular event. Some events are held annually, so it doesn't make sense to do locations for us.

Hi Roxie, when you say filter by device, do you have a different device for each location? Surely that means lots and lots of 'devices'.

I have 2 iPads  that “travel” to events and 1 iPad that stays at the shop. I’ll pull sales for the particular dates and filter by device. I know what sales occur where. We don’t have more than 3 locations operating at the same time.

I was hoping Square admin might have a view to share on this....

We would also like to see other options for locations that are really just pickup spots. We are a brick and mortar yarn store in a rural area semi-near a college town. We already offer in-store pickup, but are trying to set up a weekly pickup option in the college town to make it easier to connect with students. Many don't have vehicles so they usually don't have a way to make the 20-30 minute drive. The issue is that it's not really a second location so paying an extra $60 per month for 4 one hour pickup windows is simply not feasible.
