HI @Staytwisted

So for startup funding it can be tricky.  You can try to take a look the US grants website to start.  Friends and family may be another way you can start.   Other than those two, you may be looking at relying on your personal credit to secure a loan from a bank (I would stay away from online lending loans, unless it is a reputable company and the interest rate is favorable).

Hi there @Staytwisted.  Check out a local business mentoring and support organization called SCORE.  They are a national group that helps people who either have or want to start small businesses find resources and support.  Many of their services are free of charge and others come with nominal fees and costs.  Good luck!

Yes, SCORE is awesome.  Also a local chapter of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).  They will have a ton of information and contacts in your area.  Loans are a challenge because they require collateral, especially if you are a startup. You'll need a business plan, a marketing plan, and then a financial strategy developed before you even begin to ask for loans.  The SBDC can help you put all of these together.

My best suggestion, start small.  You'll need proof of concept before lenders will take you seriously.
