Any other tattoo shops in here?

I own a tattoo shop and I absolutely love using Square for my POS and aftercare products. I really wish that Square had more customization within the Appointments app in regards to businesses other than hair salons.

hi all, ive been using square for 3 mos, and i absolutely hate it. they market to tattoo artist and studios, but they think we are a beauty salon. i read a bunch of threads of studio owners asking for simple but essential things to make running our business smooth and effective. example making custom forms, being able to upload images for drivers licenses and designs. theres others but im flustered and frustrated just got off the phone with most worthless customer service agent. how are you guys getting around this. fact is we shouldnt have to especially since most of us are paying monthly subscription fees. im **bleep**ed

Stapbad is a free option for release forms where you can have them upload their licenses. You can either have them to this when they show up to the appointment, or send them the link to the release form after they book. You can also do contracts on square and have them automatically send when people book appointments, and even though they don't have the ability to upload a license, I have mine set up to have them sign off on things like knowing they need to bring their license, the terms of cancellation/rescheduling, a link to my aftercare instructions on my website so they can read it ahead of time and be prepared, what I accept for forms of payment, and more.

Tattoo artist here... I've been using square for about 6 years now. The functionality has definitely gotten better over the years. I have to use things like stabpad and things like that to supplement the things square doesn't offer, but, pound for pound, I would still say that square is one of the better options for managing a business. I love that you have access to all of your client info, so if you were to switch shops or god forbid your social media gets hacked or shut down, you can still reach every client you've ever had. I also love that they can book online, so there's no back and forth about which day works best for them. I love that I can have my website, client list, booking, waitlist, and everything connected in one system, which I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Is it the perfect solution? No... but for the money, I really feel like it's the best solution.
