collapse menu in desktop

I use the Square apps during my work day on my phone and tablets, but each morning I do the heavy lifting on my desktop: scheduling, payroll, messages, etc. It's just easier to have multiple tabs and manage everything at once on the big screen. I wonder, though, if there is a way to collapse the menu on the left side? Many other platforms offer this, where it collapses to a series of symbols rather than the spelled-out selections which take up space. See photo.

The only way I know how to do this @CurlyDoodle is by shrinking the size of the browser window to the point that the page becomes "responsive" and shrinks the menu to the bottom of the screen.

I did a quick search for "hide navigation bar" and nothing came up, so feel free in creating a new request for the feature if you want to puruse the idea.
