appointment customer flow broken

Is anyone else trying to use square appointments? Am I the only one who realizes that no customer, anywhere on the planet, wants to pay for an appointment BEFORE they schedule it? I sent an email to the new Weebly customer support but they shrugged it off as not their problem. They said it's was a Google plugin and there was nothing they could do. 

 

Seriously, this whole new feature is 100% inoperable and no one at Weebly cares. I think Square needs to reconsider outsourcing their website features...

OK I now realize that appointments are a site category that are 

a) not able to be in the navigation bar (why?)

b) not able to be on the shop page (*sigh*)

So I have to add them to the long list of incompatible modules, along with subscriptions, and donations. None of which work with the shop page.

It sounds like you have your Appointments set up as 'Items' instead of 'Services' in your "inventory". 
What are you needing the appointment times for, or rather, do they need to be considered appointments performed by a specific service provider?
