Why is cluster booking not a thing?

In Jane booking system I could book apts back to back, meaning there would only show availabililty before and after a previous booking already. This was so great as it prevented multiple gaps in my day. I'm so dissapointed square doesn't do this. Honestly the only dissapointment. I would pay so much more for this service, as so much of my day can be wasted when i have up to 2 hours between my service appointments!!

I feel this so much — those gaps add up fast and it’s frustrating when you know it doesn’t have to be that way. 😩

Square doesn’t currently have true “back-to-back only” booking logic like Jane, which is a huge miss. That said, you might want to double-check your availability filters. If you have a setting on that only shows openings at least X hours out, it can hide perfectly good back-to-back spots and make gaps worse.

We run 30-minute increments too so services can stack, and turning that filter off helped us see more usable openings. Still not perfect, but it helped reduce dead time.

Unfortunately, cluster booking is not currently offered at this time. I double-checked with our Appointments team as well, and they said they are not aware of plans to have it added. 

 

We do understand your frustration though, and any Seller feedback can implement change down the line, so we really appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
