Who would like square to have a no accepting new clients option?

I know many of us are small business owners. Well I need a way make it where my current clients can still book but new clients cannot as I'm not accepting new clients anymore. So help me get this post seen by square by adding to it if you need this feature too.

@Nocoanimalcare I’ve seen this request enough that I’m very convinced of its need.  It sounds like all you are asking for is something like a toggle to turn on and off “Accepting new clients.”  Hopefully your voice is heard.  However, I think I might have a short-term solution based upon my research with what is possible right now.

Instead of enabling booking directly through your Square Online website, you could delete that page for now, which would remove the booking link from your site navigation menu.

Then you could create a web page that you WOULD NOT show in your site navigation menu, with a page URL that is not guessable.  Then use the “Add your booking flow to an existing site” option in Appointments.  On this “hidden” page of your web site, you can add a button that would link to your booking page.  Lastly, send a the link of this new hidden booking page to all of your current clients, with instructions for them to use this to make their appointments in the future.

It’s not elegant.  It’s not sexy.  But it should get the job done.  You can even password protect this hidden page, for even more security, as long as you share that password with existing clients.

I can help you with step-by-step instructions, if you need.  But unless I’m completely off base, this should accomplish what you need right now.
