Tip Hold On Cards

I run a facial studio.  I DO NOT take tips.  So I turned the tip screen off.  BUT it still holds the card and declines based on a tip hold sometimes.  Is there a way to turn that off?  I just need the card to approve for the set amount I don't need the tip potential held like a spa or restaurant.  Should I go in and set up as retail instead of service?

There are many challenges sellers face with Appointments. That’s why some sellers like @DinaLRosenberg run appointments through Retail. It’s worth looking into.

WAIT! She does the appointments in the RETAIL mode/app?  I didn't know that was possible.  I'll have to explore that.

Sorry, I may not have been clear. 

She uses Appointments just for scheduling purposes. 

Then her services are items: “Reading with Whitney.” 

So no payments are processing in Appointments as Services. They are all processed in Retail as items. 

Which… I think that means no prepayments.
