I would like some clear language about what changes are coming in January regarding subscription pricing. I am a sole practitioner with busy months around $6-7k. I do not have staff. I do not need many of the features in the Premium plan. I have been using the $29 Plus plan for many months and have been satisfied. 

Is my monthly subscription really jumping $20 a month, over 40%, with nothing I can do about it?

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns @Milkweedbst.  I understand how important it is to have clear information about upcoming pricing changes.

To clarify, your subscription plan pricing is not changing on January 13. You will continue to pay the same monthly price for your current plans.

What is changing on January 13 is the standard online processing fee, which will increase from 2.9% + 30¢ to 3.3% + 30¢ per transaction. This update aligns with the new standard online processing fee across our new Square plans.

You will see this rate change if you process payments through certain online products, such as Square Online (Free or Personal), Online Ordering Profiles, Payment Links, Appointments online prepayments, Subscriptions, or eGift Cards.

If you would like to access lower online processing rates, you can choose to upgrade to one of the new Square Plus or Square Premium plans. This is completely optional.

Your current plan and its features will remain available at the same subscription price.
