SQUARE APPOINTMENTS HELP! CRASHING CONSTANTLY.

HELP! Appointments app is constantly crashing, loading slow (up to 2 mins on each screen during the review and checkout process) and worst of all, it's capturing clients payment (charging their CC but the business has no record of the payment, it will fall off the clients CC, but I have to following up with all these clients. I that happy 15xs in the past 4 weeks.)

 

I always check Software Updates and App updates. I hard close the app. I install and reinstall. I have my iPad on its own internet network w/ a private password. None of these things help the Square Appointments app run smooth, which has become extremely frustrating for my staff but the transaction issue, is unbearable.

 

I've called Square, they say it's unstable internet.  I call my internet provider, they say everything is up and running well.

 

Please send advice!

Hello @TanyaMVP821 !

 

Two things come to mind here, hopefully one of them can help solve this issue:

 

First, how old is your iPad, and how much space is remaining on it? I had one iPad getting up there in age with almost zero available space on the drive and WOW were there random issues in every app loaded, including Square. Your only solution is to free up space or consider upgrading the iPad. 

 

Second, are you using the standalone Square Appointments app? If so, try downloading the regular Square Point of Sale app from the App Store. Once you log in, you can choose the Appointments mode and the app will behave like the standalone Appointments app. Maybe that will help speed things up.
