Request credit card details for no show protection

At the moment a customer credit card details can be added to appointment for no show protection either by the customer when they self-book, or when the user makes a booking on behalf of user (taking and entering their cc details manually over the telephone).

This request involves adding a feature to a booked appointment. The user should be able to generate a link and send that link to a customer in the form of an email notification. The link would allow the customer to enter their cc details as no show protection specifically for that appointment (ideally laying out the cancellation policy at the same time)

The link could either establish cc details for no show or replace the current cc card that the customer has previously provided

There are payment links available. Not sure your business type but no one would hardly book if that's how they had to handout their card number for mine. Screams scam to me. I know it is extra cost (but not that much) for no show protection card on file for online bookings…but its way less loss than going without it. And you get lots of other perks to enjoy too.

Push come to shove…create an email template with the info you need, send as needed and then file the replied email appropriately in a folder in case you need to charge them. Then just go to the appointment on your calender and manually enter card info.

Just my 2 cents…
