Square provides excellent history for reminders sent to clients. However we have a few clients that insist they are not getting the text reminders. Of course we have confirmed their phone numbers are entered correctly. Is there anywhere that Square reports the delivery status of texts so that we might confidently tell a client why they might not be receiving texts and potentially how to fix it, such as you reported past texts from Square vendors as spam.
Hey @cartee-t. Besides the reason you mentioned, another big one occurs when clients have their phone’s message app set to filter messages from unknown senders. Basically, if they don’t have the Square reminder SMS number in their phone’s contact list, all messages from us will be segregated in the “unknown senders” list. They won’t receive notifications about these and can only see them if they actually go look at the messages in that list. My husband is one of those people, and he misses messages from folks all the time until he adds their number to the contact list. Unfortunately, there is no way that Square can see this since to them it looks like the message has been sent, which it has. The problem is on the client’s device.
