My customers are pre-paying online for appointments (classes and events) and receive an email that they have booked, but it's not a "receipt" of payment. What do I need to do so that they receive an actual payment receipt? I don't want to have to go into the Transactions tab and manually send them a receipt for every payment they make.

The confirmation emails that are sent out do contain payment information and are intended to be our automated receipts. These emails should contain the charge amount and basic credit card information.
If you are looking for more of an itemized receipt, that would have to be sent out manually. You may already be aware how to do so, but if you access your "Transactions" tab on your Dashboard, you are able to click on a specific booking and click the "Send receipt" button at the top of the page.
As a side note, if you manually accept an appointment request, then the receipt will not be sent until you accept the appointment.
