I don't charge for appointments. I don't want customers to see any mention of cost even if it's $0

I am in custom picture framing and I use Square Appointments. There is no standardized pricing in my business so I don't have any costs associated with those services people can schedule for. Prices can only be determined after assessing needs, measuring, determining materials and so on, and that occurs during the appointment, not before.

When I look at how customers see Appointments, they are constantly inundated with mentions of costs for every service I offer. Even though I'm setting these services at "$0.00", and even if it says "price varies", it still creates an impression that they are signing up for some kind of obligation. My background is in user experience and I am pretty confident that I'm correct. I've asked customers about this and they agreed that it created a weird "feeling" during the scheduling. Like in the back of their mind they understood that they're just signing up for a consultation, but it also felt just untrustworthy to mention a price and say $0.00. Either because it didn't make sense to mention it, or because it felt like I was using a service that didn't make sense for what I did. And that just creates an uneasy feeling.

So I don't want any mention of costs/prices.

We don't charge for consultation in my business. There is a small percentage of people who come and decide not to do something. I don't want scare more people off just because they're already hit with talk about cost.

I get that probably the majority of Square Appointments users are salons and spas and stuff like that where there are somewhat standard prices.

But I just want to be able to turn off *any* mention of costs or prices of any kind in Square Appointments. Is that possible?

Hello there @LowellGallery2  At this time, Square Appointments like many other Square Products or Services is based on transactions (we are a Merchant Services company after all)  However, I can definitely see this being possible in the future. I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
