I am getting an error in the Services List Online

It reads -  There was an error loading this section .

Any suggestions.

Thanks so much for your reply - I had done all those steps before coming into the community . The error was on there this morning and still this evening .. I will try again tomorrow afternoon.

It seems like this error usually happens when there is a "sync break" between your Square Appointments dashboard and the Online Site editor. Essentially, the editor is trying to pull your service menu, but the connection is timing out or being blocked.

Before reaching out to official support, here are the steps that usually clear this up:

  • Toggle Service Visibility: Go to your Appointments Dashboard > Online Booking > Channels. Even if your services look active, try toggling them OFF and then back ON. This often forces a fresh sync to the website.
  • Check Business Locations: Ensure the location tied to these services has "Online Booking" enabled and has active hours set. If a location is disabled, the services assigned to it won't load in the editor.
  • The "Delete and Re-add" Trick: In the website editor, try deleting the "Services List" section entirely, then immediately add it back. This forces the editor to fetch the data from scratch rather than loading a "stuck" cached version.
  • Clear Browser Data: Sometimes the editor holds onto old session data. Clear your browser cache or try opening the editor in an Incognito/Private window to see if the section loads there.

If these don't work, it’s likely a backend database issue that Square Support needs to refresh manually.
