How to offer various lengths of time for a Service?

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: How to allow my customers to book appointments for different amounts of time?

 

I am having a hard time seeing where to set up the ability for my customer to book multiple hours at once. When I set my "service" duration I set it for an hour which is what i want the minimum to be. I am trying to figure out how I can give them the ability to book for multiple hours at a time. 

 

for an example I am running a golf simulator rental so they pay me by the hour to use my simulator. some people will want to book for 1-2 hours. other groups may want to book for 5-6. can anyone guide me in giving them the ability to control that as they book?

As for your Appointments question, you can use variations to customize service duration and create different lengths of time for the service. 

  1. Select a service you’d like to add a variation to from the Service Library > click Add Variation.

  2. Enter variation name, price details, and duration > Online Booking.

  3. For each variation choose whether or not the variation will be bookable online and what team members can perform the service variation > Locations.

  4. Choose which locations this service is available at > Tap Create and Add Another or select Done.

  5. Click Save.

Unfortunately we don't use Square appointments.  Our calls vary by town and length of time needed so much, that I absolutely must make them by phone.  We have other variables that affect this like type of service being performed, the weather and whether or not it's an emergency.

Just create variations under each service for the times that they might want.
