I am using an iPhone 12 with iOS 18.3.1 and the transaction appears to be processing but returns with “Failed payment. Square encountered an unexpected error”. I log into an iPhone 16 and it works
@Timmulligan0 have you double checked and made sure your square app is up to date? Old faithful suggestion, try uninstalling and reinstalling the square POS app. I had an issue last week with the teams app that I had to do this and I don't often have to with apple devices.
How are you trying to process the payment? tap pay? or with a reader?
