Customer Confirmation Texts - Update Response Capabilities

Currently the vast majority of our customers respond to the appointment confirmation texts by simply saying either "c" or "confirm". Of course, the text itself says that they have to click on the link provided to confirm the appointment, but rarely any of our clients actually do so (go figure), and intuitively, they assume the natural response to this type of appointment confirmation text is to text back a reply of either "c" or "confirm". This reply however, does not get registered in the system and it does not automatically confirm the appointments, so we have to do it manually. Can we request an update to the Square messaging feature that will allow the texting bot to read responses such as "c" or "confirm" and utilize that to automatically confirm their appointments?

Great question about the text confirmation that is getting sent to your customers. 

 

As of now, the automated text messages cannot be edited or customized; only emails can. 

 

This would be an excellent Feature Request for our Product Team. Could you post this in on the Ideate board, so they can add it to their queue?
