As I open my second location I am running into some limitations in Square. During the transitional period I will be dividing my time between the two locations. This requires me to be available in one location but not the other. I did figure out a way to do this particular task, but only on a regular weekly basis.
The new shop won't be open until next month so it shows me available in the new location and not available in the current location on the elected days starting right away. This caused confusion for clients, so I created a workaround that is janky but effective.
I created a client named "Closed" and picked a service, then booked it for the 5 hours the shop would be open. All the client sees from the customer-facing portal is that there are no appointments available on that day.
Me showing as not available in the current location for the remainder of this month is also a problem. Fortunately I have staff that show as available, so clients can book and if I want to provide the service I can switch to my name on my end. Very clunky.
How do you manage scheduling for multiple locations?
