For appointments, I am looking to add a Meeting Link, but for it to be active to open in another web page or redirect them.
The title of this post has been edited from the original by a Community Moderator: Can i use HTML code for an active link in communications
Hi @tiara748
I ran a technical test on my end to see if we could force a redirect using standard HTML (e.g., <a href="https://google.com" target="_blank">Book a Meeting</a>).
Unfortunately, while Square’s interface might accept the code, their system strips the hyperlink upon delivery, leaving the recipient with nothing but dead text. It appears Square has intentionally restricted HTML in these messages, likely for 'security' reasons, which effectively kills the ability to create a direct redirect.
The Solution: > Since Square’s native tools are hitting a wall here, the most reliable path is using a third-party integrator like Zapier. You can trigger a truly clickable, redirected link through an external email or SMS service once a Square event occurs.
Thank you for the valuable test, @mitin!
Something I can recommend here is submitting a feature request here. Doing this will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.
Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
Let us know if you have any other questions, @tiara748.
P.S. Welcome to the Square Community! 👋
