Automated messages about available appointment

Client who was first created in square by the client as a wait list person. Since her first visit, she has been getting almost daily messages (text and email) about "The appointment you requested at XXX may now be available on Thursday, August 13th. 

As far as I know she is the only one getting these. Is it something she has in her own settings? Help...

It does sound like your client may still be enrolled in the Waitlist for that service or appointment type. If a waitlist request wasn’t removed after they booked their appointment, Square can continue sending notifications whenever an opening matches their original request.

 

I’d check Appointments > Waitlist (if your account has that feature) to see if they’re still listed with an active request. If they are, removing that request should stop the notifications.

 

If they’re no longer on the waitlist, it may also be worth asking the client to log into their Square profile and review any appointment notification or waitlist preferences, just in case they’re still opted in there.

 

Out of curiosity, are the messages always referencing the same service/date, or do they change based on newly available openings? That may help narrow down whether it’s an active waitlist request or something else.
