The 'ber months are here!!

We are full swing into September and the holidays are just around the corner!  Now is the time to start talking/planning/decorating, etc. for the holidays!!

I know that we have a lot of members in this group but not much activity recently.  Let's change that!!

  • What is your favorite holiday this time of year?
  • How do you celebrate both personally and in your business?
  • What do you plan to do differently for your business promotions this year?
  • When do you decorate at home and your business?
  • What is your favorite part of this time of year?  What does fall and winter make you feel like?
  • Do the holidays get you all amped up and excited or stress you out?
  • We've all tried, at least once, to do ALL THE THINGS for Christmas.... what would be the ONE thing you won't give up at holiday time, no matter how much stress you're under?
  • Lastly, how can we, as a community of women, help you have a happier holiday season?

What's been going on in your business?  What's new in your world?  What would you like to share?  Need any advice?  What are you struggling with?

Let's all be there for each other!!

What is your favorite holiday this time of year?

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving.

How do you celebrate both personally and in your business?

That day in particular is set aside of gratitude.  Me and my mom are usually on facetime all evening cooking and talking away.  Before dinner on Thanksgiving, we pray and say what we are most grateful for.  My oldest child is 28 and I've been doing that since she was born. In my shop I usually add Thanksgiving decor to my fall displays.

What do you plan to do differently for your business promotions this year?

The have a window for each holiday, but I always go over and beyond for Christmas.  Promotion wise I will probably have a GWP. I'm still finalizing that.

When do you decorate at home and your business?

Fall usually goes up Sept 1. at home and at the shop, Halloween goes up the last week in Sept., but not at my home til Oct. 1st.  Nov 1st Thanksgiving decor goes up at the shop and at home, and Christmas goes up the day after Thanksgiving at home and at the shop.

What is your favorite part of this time of year?  What does fall and winter make you feel like?

Fall always remind me how beautiful change is. Winter just makes me feel cozy.  I love to have my curtains open and the fireplace going as I'm looking at the earth's beauty. I'm so blessed to always have a white Christmas.

Do the holidays get you all amped up and excited or stress you out?

I get amped up!  Holidays are so fun!

We've all tried, at least once, to do ALL THE THINGS for Christmas.... what would be the ONE thing you won't give up at holiday time, no matter how much stress you're under?

Putting up my tree the day after Thanksgiving and making my family Christmas cake.

Lastly, how can we, as a community of women, help you have a happier holiday season?

I feel us coming together to encourage and support each other is the best we could do for each other. I'm always a tag or message away.

I love this!  All of it!!  I wish we had a fireplace, but we do have a freestanding stove in the bedroom that at least has a flame.  I can lay on the bed and watch out the window.  We don't always have a White Christmas, in fact, it rarely snows on Christmas Day but we do have snow of course.  There's just something about seeing those soft, large, slowly falling flakes!!
