Unable to Select "Event" Item Type

I am trying to add an event as an item.  When I click item and it wants me to change the item type, the only options I have are: 

Prepared Food & Beverage 

Physical Good

Digital 

Other

Why don't I have an option for an "Event"? 

I am trying to set up a ticket sale for a Dinner Auction.
