Terminal crashed during download - missing payments!

Can someone help me understand what I can do about this situation? I was downloading $1485.00 from my terminal after processing offline payments and only $566 transferred to my account. Will I be able to retrieve those missing payments?? I'm so nervous about this!!!

Hi @staceysmith.  Unfortunately, this is something that only a call to customer service during regular hours will be of any help for you. Since these payments were taken offline, the only copy of them would have been on your device.  There might be some magic they can do to help you, but I wouldn’t know what that is, if it even exists.

 

I’m wondering, though.  You said your terminal crashed during the upload process.  Usually the only thing that will wipe out offline transactions (according to this Help Document) is signing out of the app, deleting the app or factory resetting your device?  Did you do any of these things?  Or did the terminal make you completely sign back into your account after the crash?  

 

Finally, when you go back into the app on that terminal, are the unprocessed transactions possibly still in the queue?

@TheRealChipA is correct, do not factory reset the Terminal. However, you can reach out to our Customer Success Team at any time. Because you own the Square Terminal, your Square account has access to 24/7 phone support. I suggest reaching out to them as soon as you can.
