Hi folks, first time post. Summary...my manager set up our account in his name, subsequently we phoned Square to transfer ownership. All set! Nope. Square never did it, now 3 months later, the manager was fired and unresponsive and we are locked out of the account. Square says "can't get in unless authorization is given by him." Anyone else ever locked out?
A solution I tried was to start a new account using another email, however when we try to add team members to payroll we get a "that email is already in use" for each of the team members.
Square is absolutely no help. Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks
Hi @nickissam. This is a tough one. Honestly I’m unsure why your solution didn’t work. After all, Square allows for different businesses to be able to have the same employees. That is common in the food and beverage industry where employees might work for different restaurants at the same time.
Anyway, I’m going to tag the Square moderators here. They might be able to help you with your transfer issue since you weren’t able to get it resolved with the phone support team. Good luck.
