Hello. I currently run a brick & mortar and online store through Square in the U.S. and am looking into starting to ship internationally. I am aware of setting up real time shipping rates for international customers, however my main concern is how customs forms are dealt with. I know all shipping is processed through GoShippo but I would like to know if Square has automated the filling out of international customs forms for online orders since they would already have item info and weights on hand or if there in any additional information needed to be entered to ship internationally as smoothly as possible.
Hi there, @RollingGarageRC - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community.
I'm not sure of the answer to this one myself, so I'm going to consult with the Square Online team on this one to get the best answer for you.
I'll reach back out to you here once I gather more info!
Ok thank you for your response.
Hi @RollingGarageRC - Apologies for the late response here.
The Square Online Team confirmed that there isn't an automated completion process for customs forms for online orders. Customs forms must be manually filled out and included with the shipment, as required by the shipping carrier and destination country's regulations. For more information on Shipping through Square Online, please see this article from our Support Center.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.
