I signed up with square after purchasing a terminal, I'm currently with zeller (Who comparatively their support is phenomenal) and i decided to buy a square to replace my zeller terminal as it died on me after several years of use. My ID verification failed. No explanation why, and no way of editing the name or details entered to try different things to see if it was something i was doing, which i'm sure it wasn't as i need to do this kind of thing all the time and square support unable to tell me why it wouldn't go through, and unwilling to offer me an alternative method of ID verification. I was told i couldnt change my details so i had to create a different account. so i did that, and still no dice on the ID check, so it's clearly something in the ID varification company's system that doesn't line up with reality.
Hopefully someone from square can pick up on this post and sort this out for be, prior to me sending in my complaint, because according to the agency that enforces KYC, i'm legally entitled to be provided with an alternative method of ID verification.
