Is there a training manual that we can give our cashiers or some sort of guidelines?
Hi @biancalin - What type of manual are you looking for? Our Help Center has some great "Getting Started" guides for using Square, but if you're looking for best practices you may want to do a general search on an industry source.
I am looking for something that lets say someone that has never used the POS can look at the instructions and learn how to use it from a waitress perspective. Like for example if they have to split the bill how to do that, some kind if guide.
Hey @biancalin! Take a look at Step 4 of our Get Started Guide "Train your employees". It has links to articles that you can use to help your employees get started. You could also share these articles with your employees so they can refer to them when they start accepting payments at your business.

Traning is missing how to assign tickets for the employee and then the customer. I'm doing a powerpoint presentation - on my Macbook and it's a HUGE pain not being able to go in and do my own screenshots - since I can't access the POS from my dashboard!!
I agree with the above, there needs to be screenshots for everything in your manual - since most managers are not working in the POS - and it's difficult to do training as a result.

I'm adding some information about open tickets and employees below, but I'm not sure what you mean by assigning tickets for the customer? Let me know what you're looking for!
Employees and Open Tickets
By default, employees can only view their tickets. To allow them to view/filter all employee’s tickets and transfer ownership of their own tickets, you could enable these permissions: Manage All Open Tickets (this is currently only available for the Square app on iOS devices) and Delete Saved Items in Open Tickets.
Your employees can also transfer an open ticket to another employee using Square POS on an iPad:
The employee that the ticket is transferred to will receive credit for the sale. To use this feature, an employee must be assigned to a permission group with Manage All Open Tickets enabled.
