The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Postal codes are no longer required for card-not present transactions
So when it asks for a postal code, should I just ignore or should i type in something.
I still keep getting a postal code error.
I was on with customer service rep he keeps assuring me that WE DO NEED POSTAL CODES.
this is crap because 2 customers are telling me that is the correct postal code but square keeps coming in as postal code error .SO Frustrated. HELP
Hey there @jeffwindsor -
Yes, you do need the postal code when entering those manual transactions. In some cases, the bank is slow to change the billing address, if the customer has moved recently.
I have spoken with other sellers that have had this same experience and the transaction was able to go through after a previous zip code was entered.
Please let me know if this still doesn't work on your customer's transaction.
