At checkout I am told Square uses Google maps for addresses and have a number of customers having issues: incorrect postal code or address not accepted. Is there a way to set up checkout so that a customer can enter their address manually and bypass Google maps?
thanks...Michelle
Hello @MichelleBF
In order to protect the privacy of your customers, the checkout page can't be edited.
But as you mention, when attempting to enter an address, an option to enter manually should pop up, although this should happen for all addresses, not only P.O. boxes.
I can recommend setting a banner to let your customers know the option to enter an address manually should be shown during check out.
Unfortunately, there is no way to bypass Google maps other than entering the address manually.
Let me know if you have any questions, thank you.
just noticed if you try to enter a PO Box address an option pops up allowing the user to enter an address manually, is there a way to set this as the default or add a link to select as an option?
