When we have inventory, sometimes we use it for a class. Is there a way to adjust inventory to reflect that change (different from the regular reasons like recount, theft, breakage, etc.) I'd like to be able to enter items used for a class. Hope this makes sense.
@Char411 I understand what you are asking and it makes sense to me! Not sure this is something you are able to do. If it was it would be a setting somewhere In the backend of your account. Hopefully someone else has some insight!
Hello @Char411
And welcome to our Seller Community! Always great to see new faces 🎉
That makes sense!
We don't currently have an option for store use or personal use in the inventory adjustments, unfortunately.
But I have good news!
I've seen sellers often use comps as a way to ensure inventory is correct when an item is used in the business. You can learn more about how to use comps and voids in this article.
We offer our sellers the option to create their own comp and void reasons, as these can vary from business to business. Many sellers add a "Store use" (or whatever makes sense for your business) comp reason and use it to remove an item from inventory without a payment.
I hope this workaround is useful for you!
Thank you ✨
We use Comp and created a Comp reason called "internal use".
You can set up a variety of comp reasons to suit your needs.
