Why is my printer usb error light and blue light blinking?

My printer is not that old and the blue light and error light are blinking?? The ipad is connected but printer wont work?

Would you mind clarifying which printer you are using? Are you using the TSP-100 USB Printer? If so, this error light resource may be helpful here. It looks like whether or not your light on the printer is flashing or not can play into identifying where the issue lays.
