Transition from Weebly Promote to Square Marketing

Hi, I received notification via both email and through our online dashboard that Weebly Promote will be ceasing operation at the end of October 2023 and that we need to move to Square Marketing. Not sure if this is a UK cessation or a global change either way its throwing up a few questions and challenges?

 

We currently use the Weebly Promote automated emails and the coupons generated on the online dashboard section. Its my understanding that these will no longer be available come the end of this month.

 

We have started the transitions across of the automated emails, coupons to vouchers and mailing lists. A couple of questions arose after out first Newsletter was sent this week using Square Marketing and we were wondering if the community has any experiences to share on them.

 

1. Out first email was sent our using Square marketing, we had a lower than normal open rate, which can be for many reasons but then a customer contacted to say our Newsletter which normally arrived OK landed in their spam box. They suggested it could be to do with the format of the email address undefined [undefined:[email protected]]. So we noted we could change the email address profile in the marketing setting which we did and noted that this changed caused some of our test emails for our business domain to go to spam, we noted that the email was sent via amazonses.com, should the amazonses.com be showing in the email name and is this now causing our emails to land in the spam?? Format shown below

2. Customers who contacted us via the Square messaging notification system using the url at the top of the newsletter, we could not respond back to as the message said the message was sent from a user who did not allow responses to be sent back to them. How do we switch this on so we can respond to their messages or take this message url off the top of our newsletter?
 
3. So we are now working on the automated emails. We have Weebly generated form on the front of our website which collects email address for users who want to subscribe to our newsletter and an automated email sent to them for a 10% off their first online purchase coupon on email signup. Two points
  1. With Square Marketing we can not longer send this automated email. Is this correct and is their a work around?
  2. The subscriber ends up in the customer data-base but not in the email subscriber group as they do not have the status: subscribed, so they subscribed but do not land in mailing list. Is this something on the to-do-list to fix?
