Status code TRANSACTION_LIMIT: Authorization error: ‘TRANSACTION_LIMIT’

Hi,

 

We sell 'free' samples of our products on a cartflows landing page (link).

 

We charge $0.01 for the samples, and then the customer pays for shipping. The problem is that we get a high rate of transaction declines when customers attempt to checkout on this page. The most common cause of this is the following error: (Status code TRANSACTION_LIMIT: Authorization error: ‘TRANSACTION_LIMIT’) .

 

I've reached out to square for woocommerce and cartflows multiple times, and they always say it's the banks issue and that they can't do anything about it. I just find this hard to believe. Has anyone experienced anything similar or know of a possible solution?

 

The error happens for about 10-15% of the transactions.
