Square Stand with USB Epson TM-m10 printer, 1300g USB barcode scanner, USB chip/contactless reader
I have the setup listed above. When printing a small receipt, it prints just fine. When it get to 19+ items, it gets to the last item and subtotal lines and then starts printing garbage. I then have to power off the printer, and then turn it back on to be able to print receipts again. I try and print that long receipt again and it does the same exact thing. The only used item on this whole setup is a printer driven cash drawer. What is going on and how do I fix it?

I have talked to Square. They told me to talk to Epson. Epson checked it out and they say there is nothing wrong with the printer it that it only printers what it is told to print. Now it is back to Square and here for help.

Hey @Endearments,
Thanks for flagging this and sorry to hear about the trouble. That definitely sounds like it should not be happening.🤔 If you haven't had the chance already, these additional troubleshooting tips should ensure that everything is working as expected from Square's end: Printer Troubleshooting.
If you still haven't been able to resolve, I'd suggest touching base again with the team member who is assigning with your case—they'll be able to escalate internally for further review.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Having this same issue. Tried all the troubleshooting tips multiple times, returned printer and got a new one, same problem. Called Square tech support and they told me I should have ordered the printer from them. I told them they don't sell this printer, but list it as compatible with Square on Android. I'm frustrated that they suggest printers on their website as compatible then tell you that you're on your own when they aren't. Any help would be appreciated as I've about had it!

Installed the Epson TM utility on my tablet and it prints perfectly to the printer. Prints sample receipts perfectly. All diagnostics come out great. The problem is obviously between Square and the printer, not between the tablet and the printer. I'm sure Square is quite aware of this issue as so many customers are dealing with it. I wish they would come up with a solution instead of ignoring it.
