Square Shifts: pickup and drop shifts

I would like to echo previous comments about letting employees pickup and drop shifts. This is more common than trading which is the only option now.

Have you submitted a feature request? I was thinking this was a feature that was headed our way but not sure where I got that idea. Anyway, a good idea to submit it as a feature request or go find the request, like it and add your thoughts. The SQ team needs to hear from a lot of us to elevate the idea and they are better informed with our comments.

Hi! Does this mean you want to drop a shift and mark it as an "open shift"?

Currently, my staff pick up "open shifts". This is the top row of the weeks worth of scheduled shifts.

Until the ability for staff to drop a shift and add it to open shifts is enabled, maybe you can do this manually.

For ex, if Employee A does not want her 2-5pm shift, you can move it to "open shift" and another employee can pick it up. You'll have to accept it, then.
