We have a Square Register (and also iPad stand) and are running Square for Restaurants plus. Once a day or so when we are ringing in a check, the screen blacks out and then goes back to Device Configuration. It recovers quickly BUT the current check we were building is gone. We have already gone through the warranty process and got a new Register delivered. This one is doing the same thing! Anyone have this issue and were you able to resolve it?
Strange that this is happening on your replacement. And you've went through basic troubleshooting, like updating the software version or a factory reset?
Yes, we have confirmed all of those and we did the factory reset on the first unit. We were confident a new unit would solve the problem, but the new unit started doing it within the first 24 hours we had it in place, and has continued to do it once or twice a day ever since.
