Hi all, just wondering if anyone can help? Last week using square restaurants on iphone we were able to save tickets using Open Tickets and the pre defined table plans, however since Saturday this no longer happens, when pressing Tickets > New Ticket we can only type in a Ticket Name or Swipe? Are we missing a setting somewhere? On initial set up there was an option which i'm sure was in Settings > Open Tickets > Toggle on In here i'm sure it then asked for pre defined or manual, but now it just has the toggle on or off?

I test on a couple of devices on my end and also check in with the team who look after the Open Ticket feature. Right now, the ability to create Predefined Tickets and Ticket Groups are only available on a tablet, Square Register and Square Terminal, but not on an iPhone or an Android phone. The team are not sure why the option came up on the iPhone for you but they have confirmed that the Predefined Ticket feature is not rolled out to iPhone yet.
While you cannot create a predefined ticket from your iPhone, you can still view all tickets from it.
If you'd like to use predefined ticket, it'd be best to use a tablet or the Square Terminal to take orders. If you have Square for Restaurant, you can take advantage of some Restaurants features with your Terminal as well.

I'm a little confused by this one as we don't currently have Square for Restaurants available on iPhone - am I able to confirm exactly which version of the app you are using? If you have any screenshot of the options you're seeing, that'd really help me in investigating this as well!
Under Settings > Checkout > Order tickets, you can also switch from Enter customer number or name to Auto-assign ticket numbers.
Hi there, we are using the POS app 5.65, we know its not the restaurants app but last week whilst starting to set it up we had the option when going into Save Ticket > New Ticket > We were then presented with the list of tables set up on Sections.
Now we just get this with no auto assign or list? We have the setting in Settings > Checkout > Order Tickets set to Auto Assign too?

Ok, yes very odd then as it was definitely working on 2 separate i-phones on Thursday / Friday then Saturday it had gone! We have 2 Terminals as well as 2 Registers, just sometimes easier if they are in use to be able to get a phone out of the pocket and put an order in, i know it works and you can store a manual table number, just seemed fantastic that it was there and easy as all synced to relevant tables. Thank you for your response 🙂 Maybe it will reappear at some point soon.
