Make location active

Customer attempted website purchase by credit card, which has always worked. The transaction failed. After investigating the dashboard, one of my two locations (the website) was marked "inactive". How do I reactivate a location?

Hey!! Welcome to the Seller Community! To reactivate your location, you will need to go to the Square Dashboard > Account & Settings > Locations > Filter for "All Locations" > Select your deleted location > Reactivate it. There are a lot of steps, so I'm gong to provide a few screenshots below.

 

When you reach Account & Settings > Locations, you will need to filter your locations from the top left of the screen next to the toolbar:

 

 

You can see which locations are active or inactive on the far right of the location description columns:

 

 

And finally, after you select your location (preferably the inactive one you wish to reactivate), you can reactivate (or deactivate if you so choose) it in the top right corner of the screen:

When I am looking at this page in Safari there is no status indicator drop down, only the search bar.

Hey @RRH!

Are you on a computer or phone? You'll want to make sure you're on the full dashboard preferably from a computer or laptop and on a compatible browser such as Chrome or Firefox. 

 

Safari doesn't work the best with our Dashboard sometimes unfortunately.

I am using Chrome and the "status" does not appear under locations.   Only the search bar shows.   All my locations have disappeared from my account.  I think it may have to do with my monthly billing subscription renewing on the first of the month.  But honestly I don't know the real issue.   I need help so I can continue with business.

Hmmm. Would you mind taking a look at my most recent post in this thread? It goes over why the status button may be missing. Please let me know if you continue to be unable to view deactivated locations (that have been confirmed as deactivated).

We are only able to create and print Item Labels from the PO.  We used to be able to create and print labels from the Item Library.  The issue is the "Location" selection is now missing from the "Create Labels" screen.  Any ideas??
