I have an iPhone 8 and a 9th gen iPad ....the lighting port connector is not working on none of them. What could be the problem?

Well, it didn’t . I’m not even getting the option to grant it microphone access. So no forward movement....what next?

Next step would be to see how old your reader is. Readers under 1 year old are covered by a warranty. If it's older than that - I would suggest purchasing a new one.
You can purchase one through the Square Shop or through a retail location near you. If you go the in-store route - there is a $10 rebate inside you can redeem.
Alright. But I bought it from the Apple store on 5th....so I guess I have to go back smh
