(Known Issue - Resolved 1/30/24) Square Cataog Corrupt after downloading

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Square Cataog Corrupt after downloading"

I just downloaded my Square Catalog as an Excel File, and when I went to open it I get an error message,

When I try downloading as a CSV file I can not upload because columns E, K, and 1 more have Exponential notaion numbers in them.   I have 6500 plus items and this is just fustrating.

I download as CSV, open with Libre Office as I can choose to open SKU, GTIN and Vendor code as Text.  This works and I see them as text on my screen. save as CSV or Excel format, try to upload then get error messages for a bunch of Columns and Rows because of exponential notations.

WHAT CHANGED to the catalog exports?

@Candlestore  you're not alone. I just tried to download my item library and got the same errors. I'm also noticing that the download of both the excel and csv formats take a lot longer than a 300kb file (for me) should take.

@ryanwanner ;

Not sure but I downloaded it as CSV and can open it but then get errors uploading as alot of my SKU's, GTIN's go to exponential notaition.  I use Excel, Libreoffice, and Google Sheets, and thought I got this down to get rid of Leading Zeros, and now it switches things to Exponential Notation.  When viewing it on screen the e+ is gone but save then upload and Square says it is there.   Uploading as CSV or as xlsx files.  Even saving from Libreoffice as Excel 2013-2019 format.  I export it as csv, define sku and gtin etc as TEXT, csv file looks fine, then once I upload to Square bamm e+11 notations for a bunch of rows and columns, not all of them but ALOT.

@Candlestore  adding in... I'm working with a seller that is having problems using their item library at all. I wonder if there's something else going on that's causing these problems...
