Our square terminals are automatically shutting down and rebooting. You have a customer's order keyed up and then the terminal shuts off. You move to the next terminal and it begins shutting down too. We've chatted with support several times. They thought it could be our internet connection. We've been in the same building for three years and just recently began experiencing these issues. We've now upgraded our internet speed twice and have not experience any improvements!
Oh no, @Fatplantfarm - this doesn't sound right! 🌱🥕
Firstly, welcome to the Seller Community + sorry to hear that you're here because you've run into trouble. It sounds like you've chatted with us, but have you tried giving us a call? If you haven't already, your best bet is to get in touch with us that way, so that a member of our hardware team can really dig in with you. When you have a moment, please reach out directly by logging into your Square account and heading here.
Thank you! We actually determined it was the new square interface that we were trialing that was causing the issues. We've reverted back to the old interface and haven't had our machines rebooting.
We have also recently experienced this problem. However, our terminal shuts down when a customer inserts a certain type of card, a Wells Fargo Business Visa. It has happened to 2 different customers over the past 2 weeks. We are then forced to enter the credit card manually. The terminal works fine for the transaction before and after.
